Introduction
Accounts, wallets and money movement in one API
The Ndeipi Payments API lets your platform open verified accounts for your customers, hold their balances, move value between them instantly, and connect those balances to banks and PayPal. You call it from your server with one key; Ndeipi runs the ledger, the identity checks and the payment rails.

What you can build
- User accounts. Individuals and businesses, verified through hosted KYC and terms links.
- Transfers between users. Posted on Ndeipi's ledger in one step. No bank in the middle, final in the response.
- On-ramp and off-ramp. Pay in by Absa EFT or PayPal; cash out to a bank account or PayPal.
Balances are held as Ndeipi Points (ndeipi-points), bought and cashed out at a fixed price per currency. Users can also opt in to NdeipiCoin (ndeipi-coin), whose price moves. All money movement uses one object, the transfer, and every change reaches you as a signed webhook.
Base URLs
| Environment | Base URL | Keys |
|---|---|---|
| Sandbox | https://sandbox.api.ndeipi.example/v1 | nd_test_… |

The hosts above are placeholders. Ndeipi sends your base URLs together with your keys when your integrator account is opened.
How the pieces fit
- You create a user for each of your customers and send them through the hosted onboarding links.
- Once they're approved, you create a wallet for them.
- Money moves with transfers: fiat into a wallet, wallet to wallet, or wallet out to a bank or PayPal account.
- Ndeipi reports each change to your webhook endpoint, signed so you can trust it.
